Digital Platforms will change the way people interract with brands

An image of the way people interract with digital platforms

It is honestly undeniable that digital platforms will impact in a great way how people interact with brands and brand recognition. Digital Platforms have taken the realm of advertisement to a new and exciting level by placing the public in a position to be susceptible to advertising at virtually all hours of the day. With the introduction of the smart phone, and the tablet, regardless of whether a person is watching TV or driving in their car, now there is a new means of exposure for brand advertisement for virtually all times.

Facebook Studio

I also feel as though the Facebook studio idea is one that is just another superfluous way for Facebook to try and keep up in the digital realm. I agree that such a company has to do this to stay afloat, but I don’t think it is that terribly important. This service is obviously geared more B2B AS opposed to B2P. However, I feel as though the Spotlight and Awards function provides a relevant service to both businesses trying to push a product and the public as a consumer capable of providing feedback. I have included an example in this post of the HBO series Trueblood and its page on Facebook Studio.

Climbing the Multi-Channel Marketing Moutain!

Obviously it is important for businesses to stay up and compete in the realm of social media. With so much interaction going on in sites such as Facebook, Twitter etc… You can see from the graph that projected spending is huge in social networking, mobile, digital advertising and Searching. In order for up and coming and existing companies to prosper they have to join the times and be updated on social media sites. This said, it is my opinion that the most relevant to B2B communication is the Linked In site. FB, Twitter etc. can be used mainly for B2C interaction.

Response to Social Media News Releases:

I feel as though the idea of sending news releases to the public via social media is a solid one. It is sure more effectively received than a direct mail list or possibly even a email group. The main drawback to this form of News or Press release would be that it could be discarded as junk, which is so often the very same problem faced by direct mail packages. The idea of utilizing PR or News Releases through social media as a means to reach the public is one that is solid and has been proven to work not only through these examples but also by personal experience of the author.
